  • For all we know they might have tipped off the feds. But it would be inappropriate for them to make it public knowledge if they did. Plus, it's possible that Blago was just speculating...he did not say that he had talked to Obama or his team, just that he knew they would not give him anything.

  • Actually, his career started in Hyde Park, in the anti-Daley, anti-machine, reformist wing of the Chicago Democratic Party.

  • We don't know that he or his team didn't report it. I would not be at all surprised if they did. But it might not be appropriate to say publicly if they did, because it could be considered interfering in the investigation.

  • If anything, it makes Obama look good. Blago is on tape essentially complaining that Obama wouldn't give him a bribe.

  • I've been saying that for months, and people thought I was a crazy conspiracy theorist. I am glad people are starting to wake up to the possibility that Clinton might be trying to hurt Obama's chances so she can run again in 2012.

  • I know there are a lot of seeds about the poll, but I thought my blog post was worth seeding because I did a little bit more in-depth analysis and evaluated a few trends that I had not seen mentioned in other stories about the poll. And like you said, the more the merrier.
